Asking the right questions can take you to your goals. Most people in there own home businesses often neglect the importance of asking the right questions. A simple ‘what else can I do for you’ could result in thousands of dollars of extra business. There are 4 questions which every successful business must ask.

The most crucial questions are questions that must be asked before a business begins, when planning, and when your home business is actually in business and running. Even missing one part of these questions can result in catastrophic consequences for your home business. So, what are these questions?

* Who
The first question is who. Who is your work from home business going to serve? For all the get rich quick types, this question is overlooked or even worse made to be self serving. No one wants you to get rich, but if you give people what they want, then you are enabled to get rich.

Asking who is usually clarified through market research. You have found a problem and want to serve that target market. First you need to clarify who is going to benefit from your home business?

* What

The is the second question to ask in your home business. You must figure out what is your business about? What are you giving the consumer? What are the benefits of buying from you or getting a particular service from you?

* Why
The why question is one which is very important to ask. Why would anyone buy from you? Why are you in or going into this home business? Here this question provides the fuel for your customers, and also your fuel which allows you to continue. Your why must be bigger than simply to get rich. It must be unbiased towards your customers.

Now you may really want to get rich, you may want a house, a jet or what have you. However, if we look at someone like Bill Gates; his why was not to become the richest man in the world. In fact I doubt if Bill Gates ever imagined that he would have become the richest man in the world. Ok, he may have known that the computer industry would be worth the multiple billions that it is today, but if he went forward with ‘I’m going to be the richest man in the world’, would it have ever happened?

Realizing the where is again an important step in creating a picture with all the parts. Where is your home business going to be run from? Yes, from home, but you decided in the kitchen? In a spare bedroom?

Also another and more important question is how are your customers going to connect with your home business? Will your home business service your customers online? Will it be through adverts, phone, etc?

* When
The fifth question is when. When are you going to set up and start your home business? If you have already begun, then you may consider when will you begin your expansion plans? When will you introduce a new product or service? When will you employ new staff? When will you move into bigger premises?

* How
Most people will jump to this sixth question, forgetting some of the others. The how is crucial. For a business, whether working from home or in a shopping mall, you need to have a plan of how; your recipe for success.

Success in a home business is not just answering these questions or creating a 20+ pages of a business plan. Your success needs many more factors, but with these questions answered, you will be more equipped to see these questions answered in your home business and not just on paper but in reality!
